There is no cost to become a member, only an agreement to its terms. If members wish to receive any of the available benefits then they make a contribution based on this.
A private membership association (PMA) is an organization or group that operates as a private entity, offering services, products, or benefits exclusively to its members.
PMAs often operate under a different set of rules than public law.
This means more flexibility in how you run things. It might also mean fewer licensing headaches or marketing restrictions, giving more room for innovation without usual interference.
Benefits are what members receive for their contribution/ donation whereas products are what are directly purchased. This distinction is another layer of protection.
